GPPAC NEA joins Korea Peace Appeal International Webinar

The Korea Peace Appeal Campaign was launched on 27 July 2020. Korea Peace Appeal is an international campaign that seeks to amplify voices calling for an end to the Korean War and a transition from armistice to peace beyond the Korean Peninsula and throughout the world. The campaign aims to end the Korean War and achieve peace on the Korean Peninsula by collecting 100 million signatures of the Korea Peace Appeal from 2020, the 70th anniversary of the outbreak of the Korean War, to 2023, the 70th anniversary of the armistice agreement.

A webinar was held on October 29 to introduce the Korea Peace Appeal campaign to international society and hear the voices of our international partner organizations. This was also an opportunity to share ideas on how to bring peace on the Korean Peninsula and end the Korean War.

GPPAC Northeast Asia Regional Liaison Officer Meri Joyce joined this webinar to share perspectives on the role of regional civil society, together with other speakers including GPPAC Northeast Asia members as in the image below.
