GPPAC Northeast Asia members gathered online on November 3 to share perspectives on recent developments in the region, including the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on peacebuilding work, priorities and achievements. This was the first in a series of virtual sessions to take place throughout November.

During this first session, participants from various parts of Northeast Asia and the United States shared how their organisations have been adapting their work under the pandemic, perspectives on developments on the Korean Peninsula, and recent successes and challenges in each of their contexts.

Participants from GPPAC’s Ulaanbaatar Focal Point the Mongolian NGO Blue Banner and other partners were able to join the meeting not only virtually, but through an in person hub in Ulaanbaatar, coordinated by Ambassador Enkhsaikhan Jargalsaikhan.
As well as joining the virtual session, they also held a local meeting to discuss various national level initiatives and plans for the future.
