2024 saw ongoing tensions in both Northeast Asia and around the world, as we see the devastating impacts of the climate crisis and the devastating situations in Gaza and Ukraine. At the same time, GPPAC’s global network of local peacebuilders has continued to come together to connect, learn and collaborate in joint action for conflict prevention.

Throughout this year, GPPAC Northeast Asia – with friends and partners in the region and beyond – continued efforts to expand the role and capacity of local civil society and peacebuilders, and carry out sustained and regular dialogue as part of the “Ulaanbaatar Process: A Civil Society Approach to Building Peace in Northeast Asia.”

This link shares some of our highlights of 2024. We wish all of our partners and friends all the best for a restful holiday season and renewed commitment to locally-led peacebuilding in the New Year!
