We are glad to join together with partners Track2Asia and the Centre for Peace & Conflict Studies (CPCS) for a roundtable event centring on the prospects for peace on the Korean Peninsula and engaging in dialogue with the DPRK.
Date and Time: 26th October at 4pm
Venue: shared upon registration
In 2023, CPCS published a book titled “Beyond the Armistice – Efforts for Peace on the Korean Peninsula,” which highlights the lessons learned from decades of efforts to engage in dialogue and peace advocacy on the peninsula. We are honoured to welcome the book’s contributors to share their perspectives and insights. During the discussion, we will focus on how to sustain these efforts and what new entry points are available. Together, we can work towards sustainable peace on the Korean Peninsula and improve the lives of millions of people living there. We will examine the challenges of sustaining engagement amidst geopolitical tensions and how this affects peace in Asia and beyond.
We hope that you will join us for this important conversation. The book, including a foreword written by Jeffrey Feltman, Former UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs, can be read online here.
Please kindly RSVP to Alison Lee (alee(a)liberasia.com) and Ilia Bekou (iliabekou(a)track2asia.eu). Thank you.
