Looking Ahead: Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Northeast Asia

GPPAC was glad to convene an online discussion with partners from the UN Department for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) and UN Women this morning on the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Northeast Asia.

As the 20th anniversary of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 is marked this year, this was an opportunity to reflection on the agenda, learn of recent forward-looking discussions, and share both challenges and lessons learned on women’s political participation and women’s empowerment in the context of the Republic of Korea and Mongolia.

Thank you to all partners involved, and we look forward to much more collaboration to come!
